Dear wonderful St Benedict’s Parishioners

We thank God for keeping us safe from the effects of Cyclone Alfred to date.

We still, however, need to be vigilant with the astronomical amounts of rain forecast over the next 24 hours (upwards of 600mm).

So, in line with the other Parish Priests in our Deanery, we have decided to cancel our Sunday Masses and Baptisms tomorrow (March 9), prioritising your safety from the effects of flooding.

Archbishop Mark Coleridge has dispensed the Sunday obligation to attend Mass tomorrow (March 9).

Please keep safe, and know that Jesus is with us, loving and comforting us always.
